About the Artist
TINA PROCTOR
believes watercolor is “alive” with a unique personality. To partner with the movement of water and pigment remains her creative motivation and her reward.
After studying commercial art at Central Piedmont College in Charlotte, North Carolina she enjoyed forty five years of fashion illustration, commercial art, graphic design and art direction while gradually evolving toward representational fine art in retirement. Published by retail, advertising and graphic design firms, banks, non-profits, newspapers, periodicals, corporate communications and service industries, for a decade she also managed her award winning freelance studio TBF Design & Illustration. An active member of the Charlotte Society of Communicating Arts, she was an exhibiting member of the Charlotte Art League, the Charlotte Guild of Artists and the North Carolina Watercolor Society.
In 2017, Tina and her husband moved from Charlotte to Pawleys Island, South Carolina where she is involved in the local art community. Her watercolors are in the Georgetown Art Gallery on Front Street in historic Georgetown, South Carolina. Her most recent works are found on the gallery website www.georgetownartgallery.com and she is included on the Waccamaw Neck Art Alliance website. In 2018, she joined the Georgetown County Watercolor Society and served as Vice President in 2020. She has been included in many shows in the area including at the Rice Museum, The Island Art Gallery of Pawleys Island and the Waccamaw Arts & Craft Guild of Myrtle Beach. Currently residing in Conway, South Carolina, she is honored to have collectors throughout the United States and France.
